The experience

I've always loved the freedom of movement. To be able to finish work, pick a direction on the compass and just drive. To discover new terrain, push new limits, and find new scenic wonderlands just so we can stop, breath in, and enjoy. Exploration is the fuel to a perpetually burning fire, and with the right vehicle, it can literally take you anywhere.

Yet I've never understood the rush of getting to a destination. In almost every instance, I've found some of the most memorable moments have occurred on the journey along the way. Campsites in particular are designed to be sheltered, hidden, and out of the way. As a result, it's almost inevitable that you're going to miss the beauty that is a sunrise or sunset. It is for this reason that I love being mobile during these key parts of the day. Driving along an alpine ridge miles from any restaurant, cafe or human, whilst mother nature releases her finale episode of the day's story - there's just nothing on this earth that can compare to this moment.
